The PDBF International Club Crew Challenge 2012 is a series of dragon boat racing competitions organized by the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation to re-introduce and popularize dragon boat paddling as an exciting boat racing sport across the country as well as support the sports tourism program of various local government units and the tourism department.

The race will be governed by the rules of the PDBF and the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), the IOC-recognized federation for dragon boat racing. The Challenge will bring local and international club crews and its athletes to battle it out for dragon boat racing supremacy in key tourist destinations in the Philippines. Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan is the location of competition’s first edition as this is one of the most popular tourist destinations for dragon boat racing in the Philippines and that PDBF has been co-organizing races in Boracay Island since 2005.

The Boracay Edition of the race will be held on April 26-28, 2012 at the Station 2 (right in front of Summer Place) area of Boracay’s world famous white beach and will cover 2 race distances, 2000m and 500m for the Open, Women’s, and Mixed classes respectively.
